Infiniti Q70L

2015 Infiniti Q70 and Q70L Coming Soon to Lake Norman Infiniti

When Infiniti decided to rename their entire line of vehicles for the 2014 model year, it was just that – a rename, with only minor changes. Now that the public has gotten used to the new naming conventions, the designers at Infiniti have decided to get out their pens and redesign the flagship sedan, the Q70, for the 2015 model year.

Luxury Design With a Sporty Attitude

The designers put their pens to the exterior of the Q70, reshaping and refining it. The grille is a little more subtle, with less arch, and the LED headlights provide a slightly more mature appearance. The rear gets a more noticeable facelift, with a flatter trunk lid, a redesigned bumper, and reshaped LED taillights. While the rear end is the same dimensions as before, these styling cues give it a wider, sportier stance.

Enhanced Interiors

Infiniti hasn’t seen the need to change much inside the cabin. The Q70 is already well-appointed, with high-quality materials and professional fit and finish all around. It’s also well-stocked with the latest in technology, including automatic climate control, surround sound audio, and more.

One of the notable changes is the improvement in cabin noise reduction. The cabin has been padded with more sound insulation, given tighter seals around doors and windows, and equipped with active noise cancellation. All of this should make the cabin quieter, and much more enjoyable on longer rides – or on loud Charlotte streets.

Capable and Dependable Drivetrain Stays On

Even though the 2015 Infiniti Q70 and Q70L have received an updated design, Infiniti has left the drivetrain the same. In this case, that’s a great thing – the 3.7-liter V-6 is a perky, capable engine, while the 5.6-liter V-8 provides incredible power to make highway driving a breeze. Both engines can be mated with either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive systems, while a seven-speed automatic transmission with a manual-shift mode and optional paddle shifters is used across all versions.

The New 2015 Infiniti Q70L

The biggest change in the new model year is the introduction of the Q70L. For years, other luxury car companies have offered an extra-long version of their flagship sedan, aimed for executives who may have to drive around visiting luminaries and other businessmen. This year, Infiniti gets into the game. The overall length of the vehicle is increased by 5.9 inches, with rear legroom increasing by 5.9 inches. This ups the knee room in the rear seat to a class-leading 32.4 inches, enough for even the taller VIPs.
