2017 Infiniti Q60

While the Q60 nameplate is fairly new, the bloodlines of the vehicle reach a little – previously known as the G37, it was an upgraded, coupe version of the G35. Now, a few years after the name change, the 2017 Q60 brings an all-new model to the market to match. Shedding any remaining hints to the G series, the new Q60 is agile and performance minded, while offering the luxury and technology you have become used to seeing in an Infiniti.

Primed to Perform

The key to the success of the Q60 line is the aim towards providing exhilarating performance. Luxury is no longer about stuffy interiors and cushy, floating rides – it is about the ability to unleash power when desired, to entertain the driving purist as well as to please the passengers. To that end, the Q60 is available with three different engines, ranging from the fuel-efficient 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine offering 208 horsepower, up to the punchy twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 with an output of 400 horsepower. All engines are mated with a seven-speed automatic transmission featuring Adaptive Shift Control and manual shift mode, while you can opt for all-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive.

The ability to customize the performance of your 2017 Infiniti Q60 is unrivalled at this price range, thanks to thorough research and innovative systems. Drive Mode Selector allows for up to six modes to choose from – five standards and a sixth personalized mode that lets you adjust the steering system’s precise levels of response as well as engine and transmission response. Dynamic Digital Suspension adjusts suspension damping performance to match the drive mode select, providing a better ride in some modes at the expensive of performance, or slewing towards performance at the cost of some comfort. Finally, the second-generation Direct Adaptive Steering system is available, a form of electrical steering that can transfer steering input to the wheels faster than the standard mechanical steering, for faster and more accurate steering corrections. This new generation also offers improved steering feel, feedback, and tuning of the system for improved driver engagement.

A Leap Forward

Infiniti is regularly on the cutting edge of car makers when it comes to technology, so it should come as no surprise that the latest edition of the Q60 is stuffed with information, entertainment, and safety technology. This ranges from Infiniti InTouch with Navigation and InTouch Services, to an available Around View Monitor and Forward Emergency Braking, to a premium Bose Performance Series audio system. Everything is controlled through the easy-to-learn InTuition dual display central control system located on the center stack.

Magnificent Style

All of this performance and technology is wrapped in expressive sheet metal that provides plenty of attitude, and will surely turn some heads. The trademark double-arch grille is bracketed with angled headlamp assemblies that provide a hint of a glare – one that says “Get back in the right lane, I’m going right by you.” This is matched with a wider, lower stance than ever before, one that exudes aggression. The hood curls up and back from the grille, with two authoritative creases running along the outside edges. Side sheet metal swells and curves, leading back to the crescent-shaped C-pillars that connect the long, sloping coupe roofline. In back, the rear fascia angles up slightly, bringing everything together above available dual exhausts.
